BATON ROUGE, LA., June 1, 1998-- Xenetech announced today that it has begun shipping production units of its new 25, 50 and 100 watt Xenetech laser engraving systems to customers. The new systems feature a top-mounted control panel with adjustable table height, engraving speed and laser power; 65+ inches per second speed; a lighted work area; a red diode laser pointer to identify the work output area; and a large 18"X 30" engraving bed.

The Xenetech laser will offer a software/hardware compatibility not available in other systems currently on the market. Only this kind of partnership provides features like "automatic multi-pass" for faster, higher efficiency production, and "software-driven auto focus" for engraving in variable thicknesses.

In addition, the system will include industry standard Xenetech Graphic Workstation software as well as a print driver for use with other software. The XGW software contains all of the software features Xenetech customers have come to rely upon including multiple plate, auto layout, real-time graphics, auto braille translation, auto serial numbering, engrave by color, and automatic panel/dial layout.
